We watched the rest of Bend It Like Beckham during this lesson and whilst doing this we made notes. We needed to do this as we are going to write an essay for homework about ethnicity in films.
The question we must write an essay on is "How does Bend It Like Beckham represent the Asian experience in the UK?"
I will include in this essay Jess' experience in the UK, her parents experience, Juelz's mothers experience of having a daughter with a friend who is Asian. I will also add something about stereotypes as there are a lot of stereotypical comments like Juelz's mother says to Jess that she had made a nice curry the other day- stereotyping that Asians always make curry.
This homework is in for next Wednesday 7th.
