At he start of this lesson we had a quick 'pop quiz' just to review what is included in a social realist film, this is just so we do not forget the important factors of the British film idustry.
We then started thinking about the cultural importance in British film. Durng this lesson I discovered that the rise in ethnic films improved the cultural visability within groups in Britain, they often talk about young, black people that have to deal with racism in their lives, and how there is a culture clash as young ethnic children who emmigrate to Britain accept different values within Britain to their own culture- showing the CHANGING FACES of Britain.
Film is an artistic convention of our culture and presents/ demonstrates our values and identities.
