Tuesday 8th September

In this lesson we discussed the ways in which 'British' films can be recognised. For example British films are mainly dialogue lead, film directors often go to TV and theatre productions before film and are often co-funded by TV companies such as ITV and BBC.

We then watched part of The Full Monty and discussed the ways this portrays social realism. As i had not seen this film before i had no idea what it was going to be like so therefore i had to listen and watch carefully. Some social realistic parts in this film are the regional dialects, 'ordinary' working class characters, unemployment and money issues etc. Just some of the things that can also be recognised in everyday life.
