Within this lesson we watched Trainspotting and Sense and Sensibility and saw the difference of genre and representation of Britain between the two.
After watching both of the films I discovered they are completely different in many ways, and represents Britain and England in two opposite ways.
Trainspotting is more of the 'grime' dirty, drugs, alcohol, swearing, living of benefit- type people in Britain. Whereas Sense and Sensibility on the other hand is the more, well spoken, upper class, courteous representation of people in Britain.
These films are showing how different parts of Britain can be represented via the media and that the audience believe what is being shown.
